Scenic Drives
The area surrounding Gila Bend is one big scenic drive! It doesn't matter which direction you go, it will be scenic. Head north up the Old Highway 80 for a leisurely drive to Gillespie Dam Bridge. Go west to explore the Agua Caliente Loop, or maybe east for a short trip along Highway 238 through the Sonoran Desert National Monument! For more about these drives, go to visitgilabend.org

Painted Rock Petroglyph Site
Located approximately 15 miles west of the Sonoran Desert RV Park, the site provides visitors the opportunity to view an ancient archaeological site containing hundreds of symbolic and artistic rock etchings, or "petroglyphs," produced centuries ago by prehistoric peoples. There are also inscriptions made by people who passed through during historic times. Off-Road Adventure
We have access to some great off-road terrain and trails that give you miles of wind-in-your-face thrills. At the Sonoran Desert RV Park, you can hit some trails right out our back gate! Werner Trails ATV Map Set (available at the office for sale) showcases the many trails available for riding in the Gila Bend area. You can also checkout the Oatman Massacre Trail, the Gillespie Volcano Loop and other off-road opportunities at visitgilabend.org
