After retiring from the Entertainment Industry in Los Angeles, Scott Swanson, also a 3rd generation campground owner, purchased this Gila Bend property in 2015 with his mother and has created the Sonoran Desert RV Park with a quaint boutique-style feel with all the touches an avid RV’er is looking for. Cooper, Carly & Conrad, his terrier rescues, oversee their 4000 sq. ft. Canine Corral with all the touches an avid doggie looks for, including green grass! Relax by our heated swimming pool, enjoy thousands of acres of ATV and hiking trails in the surrounding area, or simply take-in the dark starry nights. We pride ourselves in offering a very quiet atmosphere in the evenings for everyone to get a good night sleep; therefore, we ask all our guests to retire into their RV's by 10pm. I would give this campground 10 stars if i could! It is soooo nice. It is out in the desert but close to i8. It has everything you need and want without feeling like you are at one of those big resorts. It feelS like a campground! The pool is heated at 90 degrees which was amazing on a day that was 72! The bathrooms/showers are wonderful! The laundry room is very nice and even has a change machine! The staff was wonderful and oh the sites are huge!! Very spacious! The dog area is great also! And they have a dog washing station!! We stayed an extra day just to utilize everything! Such a wonderful campground!

This place was was amazing. So much attention to detail and such a clean, modern feel. You can tell the owners really care about the guest experience. Highly recommend the deluxe pet suite.

Love this rv park!!!!! It’s by far the best rv park we’ve been to, and we’ve been to MANY!!!!! Customer service and park are both AMAZING!!!! Large lots, great water pressure, laundry and pool are nice and well maintained!!!!! There’s a car wash, dog wash, bath house, ranch house, dog park, etc. Friendly neighbors are definitely a perk!!! We'll be staying here every chance we get.
